Frequently asked questions

Are these prices final, or is there a "starting from" catch?

They’re real, calculated rates for the stated unit — "from" reflects that longer or more complex jobs cost more, the same way a longer document naturally costs more, not a bait price.

Why are some services quoted instead of instantly priced?

Where the price genuinely depends on seeing the material (a contract’s length, a manual’s format), we quote rather than guess — but the per-word or per-hour rate is still published above, so you know the basis.

Do prices include VAT?

Displayed prices are gross by default (incl. 19% VAT), with the net figure shown alongside — use the toggle above the rate card to switch the primary view.

Why do some languages cost more?

The tier multiplier reflects how many qualified translators exist for that pair and subject area — it’s published and applied the same way for everyone, not negotiated per client.

Can I get a fixed quote instead of using the estimator?

Yes — the estimator gives an indicative figure instantly; for a confirmed, binding quote, use /quote/ and we’ll respond with a fixed price.
